SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2023.Since 1963, the main thrust of the SSB was on generating a sense of national belonging, security and vigilance. Village Level Training Programmes and Refresher Training Courses in civil defence were started to train villagers to defend their own villages and if the situation demanded, to participate in a ‘stay behind role’ for the nation.

Villagers were trained in the use of small arms and the art of self defence to develop a spirit of resistance. In early 1970s we also started National Integration Programmes in a big way. All these bore fruit slowly but surely. However, the rifle training was a big draw and brought lakh of people into our fold. The trained volunteers became the eyes and ears of SSB, on the border and could be drawn on whenever required. As a result the number of Chinese intelligencers prodding our border reduced considerably.

SSB Head Constable Recruitment Qualification:- 10th, Diploma, ITI, 12^th Pass

Head Constable – Electrician:

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.Two years of work experience in the respective trade, or iii) One-year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Institute with at least one year of experience in the respective trade; or iv) Two years Diplomas from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the respective trade or similar trade; and v) Must qualify trade test.

Head Constable – Mechanic:

• Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent. ii) Passed the Diploma in automobile or motor mechanical engineering or two years certificate course in an automobile or motor mechanical engineering from a Government recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or equivalent. iii) Possess a valid Driving License for Heavy Vehicles.

Head Constable – Steward:

• Matriculation from a recognized Board or Institution. Should have a Diploma or certificate in Catering Kitchen management from a reputed institute. iii) One year experience in a similar job in a reputed hotel.

Head Constable – Veterinary:

• (10+2) examination pass with Science and Biology as main subject from a recognized Board/University, and (ii) Possess two years Diploma Course in Veterinary and Livestock Development or Veterinary Stock Assistant Course or Animal Husbandry Course from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

Head Constable – Comm:

• Intermediate or equivalent passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board or University; or (ii) Should have a three years diploma in Electronics or Communications or Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognized Institute.
