ICMR-VCRC Recruitment 2022:-ICMR- Vector Control Research Centre (VCRC), established at Pondicherry (now Puducherry) in July 1975, is one of the permanent institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Government of India. VCRC has been engaged in basic and applied research with the primary objective of finding newer methods and developing strategies of vector control for the control of vector borne diseases.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated the VCRC as a collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Lymphatic filariasis and Integrated Vector Management. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in 2000 recognized the Centre as one of the Institutes of Excellence in India for Courses in Health Training.

• Project Technician-III – 06 Posts
• Field Worker – 05 Posts
• Project Technician I – 03 Posts
• Data Entry Operator – 01 Post

 

Qualification/Experience:-

Project Technician III:

• 12th Standard pass in science subjects with any one of the following: Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or One-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology + one year experience in a recognized organization or Two years field/laboratory experience* in Government recognized organization * B.Sc., degree shall be treated as 03 years’ experience.

Field Worker:

• 12th Standard pass in science subjects with any one of the following: Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or One-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology + one year experience in a recognized organization or Two years field/laboratory experience* in Government recognized organization. B.Sc., degree shall be treated as 03 years’ experience

Project Technician I:

• High School or equivalent with one-year experience in Laboratory related works from a Government Institution or recognised Institute* Intermediate (12th) with Science subjects shall be treated as 02 years’ experience.

Data Entry Operator:

• Intermediate or 12th pass in Science stream from recognised board with DOEACC ‘A’ level from a recognised Institute and/or 2 years’ experience in EDP work in Government/Autonomous/PSU or any other recognised organization. A speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour through speed test

 

Age Limit:-

• Project Technician-III – Not exceeding 30 years
• Field Worker – Not exceeding 30 years
• Project Technician I – Not exceeding 25 years
• Data Entry Operator – Not exceeding 28 years

 

Salary:-

• Project Technician-III – Rs.18,000/-
• Field Worker – Rs.18,000/-
• Project Technician I – Rs.16,000/-
• Data Entry Operator – Rs.18,000/-
